One day, sometime around fall of 2015 my husband took me to Texas Roadhouse to let me indulge in one of my pregnancy cravings ( who doesn’t love that cinnamon butter? You don’t even have to be pregnant to crave that one). We placed our orders, my stomach was in pain with hunger. The plate arrived and I looked at it and immediately wanted it taken away from me. The smell and sight of the food made me sick, and left me still starving! I am the type of person to not make a fuss or put anyone out of their way but I had to tell my waitress to take it away right NOW! She was the most understanding soul, because she was going through the exact same thing at the same time. We were both pregnant and about a month apart in our due dates! In mommy-to-be world, when you meet someone sharing your challenges you become instant friends as I did with Amanda!
Amanda had a younger sister named Erika who had just got engaged and she told her about her mess of a customer craving a certain dish then sending it away upon arrival. She must have told the story to Erika with more compassion because Erika had soon after called me to talk about photography coverage for her big day!
I met with Erika and her fiancé Chris and instantly felt how in love these two were. Gorgeous, young, goal-driven people with a fire of love in their eyes. She couldn’t wipe the smitten smile from her face, and he couldn’t take his eyes off of her when they told me about their relationship and wedding plans.
After two fun engagement sessions with different locations and getting to know them more, I knew their June wedding at Trump National Golf Club in Pine Hill, NJ was going to be a memorable one. Following my client’s engagement journey as one of their friends as well as photographer is so rewarding. On the wedding day, everything is comfortable and fun! From start to finish, this day was parallel with the Royal Wedding in their own NJ Wedding style. From the well-planned details to emotional letter from Chris, a traditional church ceremony, energized bridal party, amazing wedding venue dripping in elegance and so much more… my photographer heart was full. At their grand entrance into the ballroom, Erika made a statement with her removable tulle skirt to showcase the form-fitting satin gown. Chris surprised Erika with switching out his black tux jacket for a white dinner suit jacket before their first dance. They matched in style and happiness throughout the night. The ballroom at Trump National provides a glorious view overlooking the highest view of Philadelphia from the NJ side, which was magical and romantic for Erika and Chris as the golden sun fell below the horizon. The dance floor was full all night with celebration for the new Mr. and Mrs! I am so thankful for meeting these two ( and Amanda along with her family). I am pretty certain this wedding yielded the most photos I have ever delivered – have a seat…here is just a “small” percentage of images to show my favorite moments from Erika and Chris’ day!
