Laura & Pat / Normandy Farms Wedding

Laura & Pat | Normandy Farms Wedding
Blue Bell, PA

This couple and this wedding = pure happiness. Laura and Pat’s wedding day was nothing less than magical. From spending the morning with the bride and groom before their first look, to the final goodbye dance where every guest surrounded them on the dance floor it was all-around love from start to finish! Laura and Pat had one of those warm & fuzzy, emotional, smiling ear to ear, feel-good, “we’re finally here” wedding days and like the two of them … I wish it was possible to re live it. That is where the photos come in!

Laura is one poised, gorgeous and classy woman. She also knows how to party and make memories! She has so much love to share – anyone can see the size of her heart within her eyes and smile. One thing I quickly learned about Pat was that he loved a good laugh, and is a romantic and sentimental soul (does he know this about himself?). His letter to Laura which she read before their First Look included saved typed conversations from when they first began to connect. Pat “back then” knew Pat “one day” would marry this woman and that every part of their story was important.

The pair wanted to stand back-to-back for their First Look, to turn around at the same time. I love this approach! The natural smiles and laughing in these moments are honestly what all of the anticipation and planning is for! My job is made to be super easy during First Looks once the logistic planning is done. There is zero interjection on my end until their moment is experienced fully, naturally. I am there to capture the love, and there was plenty of that between Laura and Pat once they finally saw one another!

Aside from the amazing couple, bridal party and family members – we were blessed with gorgeous sunshine, a perfectly executed timeline, and we were fortunate enough to be at one of the area’s most historical and charming locations for rustic modern weddings! Normandy Farms’ history dates back to the year 1730! To anyone engaged and planning their day: if you are a fan of clean modern accommodations in a hotel room, but would love to have wedding photos and a reception experience in a warm, classic & barn-like setting Normandy Farms is for you. I have worked at this PA wedding venue several times, each time I am able to experience all the grounds have to offer in a new way.

Following all of the photos we captured outside (no one even minded the heat!) they decided to do the darn thing and say their “I Do’s” during their romantic ceremony. After the ceremony, we had some time to capture the “golden hour”, warm photos that Laura and Pat were hoping for while their guests enjoyed cocktail hour.

Once Laura and Pat entered their ballroom as Husband and Wife it was game on! What a party they had! Normandy Farm’s main ballroom has a dance floor large enough to hold every guests and I’m pretty sure it did just that. They concluded their reception with a “goodbye” circle where they hugged each and every guest that came to wish them the best for their new life together.

Congratulations to one of the most deserving couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with! <3
