Stacy & Matt / Lucien’s Manor Wedding

Stacy & Matt | Lucien’s Manor
Berlin, NJ

Last Memorial Day weekend was one that goes down in history for Stacy and Matt! For two high-energy, fun loving people they really chose the right date to become Husband and Wife! Their Lucien’s Manor wedding was full of love, celebration and Greek traditions!

May 26th makes for a great anniversary date. I am being biased because it is my own anniversary as well! Ironically, the weather was exactly the same on my wedding day 7 years prior as it was on May 26, 2019. Stacy and Matt planned for a long time, and everything came together perfectly. Matt and his guys were together getting ready at The Borgata in Atlantic City, NJ. They enjoyed their time before the ceremony, had a few toasts and fun with the excitement for the day ahead. Matt had a private moment to himself to read a letter from Stacy that would serve as the final affirmation for everything in their relationship that has led to this day!

Not too far away, the girls were looking so relaxed with their mimosas in their lovely floral robes at Stacy’s parent’s home. Once the time came, the first Greek tradition of the day occurred. A gorgeous, well-detailed cultural bread was made and was to be broken above the bride’s head by the key to her new home with her husband. The women in the family wished her and her new husband health, prosperity and all the joys that life will bring them! I have photographed a few Greek weddings before, but this was a new tradition for me to learn and I loved it! Traditions are one of the most amazing parts of wedding days. Trends and styles come and go – but traditions always last and unite us through all generations.

Like Matt, Stacy also read a very touching letter written by Matt. Of course she cried! She also “died” a million times that day because she just “couldn’t”! I love Stacy and her upbeat personality. She quickly forged a special place in my heart, no wonder Matt and everyone falls in love with her! Similarly, Matt is so kind and inclusive to everyone around him. He has a great heart and clearly respects Stacy. The pair met in college, and became friends then eventually realized that there was no other option for love aside from one another!

If you have a chance to attend a Greek traditional ceremony, you should! Pay attention to the importance of the rituals they perform and all the beauty within the Greek Orthodox Church decor. Following the ceremony at St. Nicholas, the bridal party stopped at Heritage Park in Absecon, NJ for photos and then we went in opposite MDW traffic down the AC expressway to Berlin to Lucien’s Manor! Lucien’s is a venue made for such large weddings such as this one. Endless Greek family dancing and flying cash filled the dance floor all night once Stacy and Matt made their grand Sparkler entrance and had their first dance as husband and wife!

Everything was beautiful and reflected the elegant style Stacy and Matt envisioned for their special day!

Stacy and Matt – thank you for having me as your photographer. It has been an honor (and so much fun) working with you both since your Old City Engagement session, to meeting up and helping to plan details, to being able to ensure everything goes your way on the day of. You two are perfect together and I am so grateful to have met you both! xo
