Jessica & Vincent | The Breakwaters at the Dunes

High energy and excitement filled the air immediately on May 11th as Jess and Vince enjoyed the morning of their wedding day in the gorgeous suites of The Breakwaters at the Dunes in Sea Isle, NJ. The two suites were connected by one common outdoor patio area which allowed family and bridal party members to visit back and forth.
With each wedding, it is amazing to watch two families become one. With these families I could tell they had already been considered as one for a long time. Even on their day, Jess and Vince were thinking of others and gave their ring bearer his birthday present and his own special cake! This day was a celebration everyone had been waiting for and it was finally happening.
Jess and Vince became engaged in Italy in May of 2018. One year later, they were promising their love and future to one another on the beach in front of everyone that loved and supported them. They have one very loyal fur baby, Pegasus (who is clearly IG famous) and are a major part in Vince’s family business Tacconelli’s Pizzaeria of Maple Shade, NJ.
Around 2015, I worked for a mortgage company in Mt. Laurel. My second photographer also worked there and one day we went to lunch at Tacconelli’s Pizzeria. It was a little further from our typical go-to lunch spots but we knew the pizza was worth the rushing during lunch hour as we heard how great this place was! I believe it was one of life’s signs and ways of connecting people that Jess and Vince when researching wedding photographers, found my 2nd shooter, James. He had already been booked for their wedding date so he introduced these amazing people to me and they talked about how much they loved my photography! I couldn’t believe the connection and told them that James and I had previously been to their family restaurant and loved it.
Jess and Vince had their first look which calmed any nerves completely. Vince was in awe of Jessica’s beauty and her stunning, glamorous gown. She sparkled in that dress, but her smile and happiness is what really shone bright. After their first look, the entire bridal party and families walked to the beach for photos. The skies were a perfect blueish gray and the beach was almost vacant , leaving it to be enjoyed by Jess and Vince completely for photos and their romantic beach ceremony!
The Tacconelli’s know how to make pizza and throw a party. This wedding was no exception! Their reception had a strong party vibe with cocktail style serving of food and limited seating. I thought this was so unique and a great way to keep everyone busy on the dance floor! We briefly suck away to capture some photographs of Jess and Vince privately on a nearby dock. This is always my favorite time of a wedding day. The nerves are gone, there is nothing left to plan – just a moment to simply enjoy each other. I don’t have to do much directing at all, as the natural connection and high of happiness is always strong at this point in the evening.
When they returned to their guests, they enjoyed their parent dances and having fun by their custom Ice Luge. Later in the night, Vince and his father entertained everyone by joining the band in singing! These #TwistedTacs certainly had a wedding day to remember and enjoyed a fabulous honeymoon in Spain to kick off their new life as husband and wife <3.
