Regina & Chalie | Scarpinato Wedding

Life is so surreal sometimes. I can remember being in grade school with Regina. Several memories come to mind of us as young girls celebrating birthdays, having sleepovers, trips to the mall as teens…….. and now I just photographed her wedding! It was such an honor to be trusted with telling the story of another precious memory for Regina, but this time one she would share with the love of her life.
Chalie and Regina compliment one another so well. Not only is he an amazing parter, but a hard worker and incredible father to their two sweet girls. I noticed immediately during their engagement session in Old City, Philadelphia how attentive Chalie is to Regina. She told me that he gives her and their girls roses every Sunday, I completely melted! I was thrilled for Regina to have this love in her life and I could tell Chalie the same. Regina is one dedicated and true person. She is strong and honest. Once you are in her heart, it is forever. These are two lucky souls to have connected with each other in this lifetime.
Their wedding day was such a happy one. The weather was gorgeous and everything came together perfectly. Regina got ready at her childhood home with help from her talented hair and make up team of friends. Her day of being a bride didn’t stop her from her mommy duties as she fed and got her girls ready as well! Their families and close friends supported them as they witnessed them make their vows at the Church of The Holy Family (I was also married here, so I felt extra connected to their ceremony). I remember as we were waiting for the processional to begin, I asked Chalie how he was feeling. He gave me the most honest answer any groom ever has when he said “I am nervous as HELL”. Yep, as he was standing next to the priest! It made us laugh and hopefully helped him shake off some nerves. Without having a first look, the anticipation of seeing Regina in her gorgeous Vera Wang bridal gown for the first time was really building up for Chalie. Once those doors opened and she was walking towards him with a huge smile, they both were totally content and ready. After it was official, we went to Washington Lake Park in Washington Township, NJ where we found a beautiful tree-covered natural trail area to take photos! It was very warm and sunny for March which gave me opportunity to create images that were true to my style, but with a unique flare to accommodate such strong sun. The overall look is a bit more dramatic and exciting in it’s own right.
Their celebration continued at Scarpinato’s in Washington Township NJ. A touching first dance and toast from Regina’s father started the night. Everyone enjoyed the dancing and surprise Eagles side of the wedding cake, including the two cutie pie twins. Regina and Chalie already had a strong foundation for an amazing life together. Now as husband and wife, along with their children they have everything! Congratulations <3
