Brianna & James / The Mansion Wedding

Brianna & James | The Mansion on Main Street Wedding

Voorhees, NJ

” I love you more than anything in existence”.

Those were Jimmy’s words written in one of the sweetest love notes to a groom’s bride-to-be before their wedding. After hearing about their love story and engagement, I knew that these two would be even more head over heels ( or #HeadOverShields as their hashtag goes) in love when they finally saw one another to say their vows.

This pre-Christmas wedding was full of lovely details and true emotions from start to finish. There is something magical about a winter wedding with gorgeous golden-hour light. Brianna started her day getting ready with her girls and adorable pup! All of her details were stunning, especially the florals and sweet keepsake fabric her mother kept from her Christening. Before she knew it, she was getting dressed into her bridal gown, and was off to the Church to see her man! Jimmy was surrounded by his groomsmen and parents with love and support. He took a minute by himself to read a letter that Brianna wrote to him and felt more ready than ever to get married.

With no first look happening on their day, Brianna and James saved their anticipation for the Church. They opted to write their own vows which always adds a personal touch to a ceremony. Brianna talked about how much her late father would have loved the man she was marrying, and Jimmy spoke about how she captured his heart the first time they saw one another.

After the ceremony, the new Mr. and Mrs. were showered in celebratory bubbles by their guests, and were off to a local Haddon Heights park for photos. Capturing the getting ready and ceremony part of the day is mostly hands-off and documentary. Getting the chance to talk to, and laugh with the bride and groom during their portraits as we aim to showcase their connection through the posing is one of my favorite parts of a wedding day.

This bridal party absolutely brought the party element to their introductions with scooters and a group game of beer-pong on the dance floor. Way to set the tone! Jimmy shared a sweet dance with his mother, and Brianna’s dance included several family members coming up to share a moment with her to honor her father and Brianna. It was truly a touching moment that reminded her just how much she is loved! I was trying to photograph this behind my camera between tear drops myself. After a few traditional toasts with a lot of laughter, the dance floor was open to everyone and never once was clear. Brianna used her wedding reception as her stage to show off some of her knowledge of rap lyrics! The newlyweds were on cloud 9 and so happy to start their new life together.

At the end of the evening, the bride and groom had a few moments just to themselves on the grand staircase at The Mansion away from the party to let it all sink in! Congratulations to these soul mates.

Thank you to my second photographer, James for helping me with this couple’s special memories!
