Samantha & Kyle / Seaview Country Club Wedding

Samantha & Kyle
Galloway, NJ

“Sam is one cool chick and I want to be her friend” – me to James ( my second photographer )

The above quote still holds true and I am so glad we met! I love connecting with my couples and Sam and Kyle were no different. Two awesome people found each other, and then found me for their wedding day! When I first met with these two, they were very clear that they wanted vendors to help them just get the absolute most enjoyment out of their wedding day held at Seaview Country Club. We talked about things they do together, their love for their fur-babies, a few interests we had in common as well as their wedding plans. I knew right away after hearing their wedding style would reflect a “Til Death Do Us Part” theme and be held on the Day of the Dead , that this would certainly be a unique wedding. Little did I know it would be Skelton masks and black cake type of unique!

Samantha enjoyed her pre-ceremony time with her bridesmaids laughing and being pampered. It was then that I photographed her gorgeous jewelry and other wedding day details aside from her getting ready. She was radiant with her pink hair and bright blue eyes, so ready for this day! Sam’s maid of honor and Mother helped her get dressed before having a First Look with her father! Kyle and his guys were calm and full of jokes to keep him nerves-free! Both Sam and Kyle were looking magazine worthy. I knew when they finally saw one another their happiness would be boundless.

November 2nd was a foggy, grey day. For any other bride, I may have felt a little worried but for Sam I felt excited. This sort of eerie weather was PERFECT for her wedding day! The monsoon rainstorm held out long enough for us to have time for photographs of the bridal party outdoors, as well as hold the beautiful ceremony on a stone patio area at Seaview Country Club. The fall-colored trees surrounded the guests as Sam and Kyle soaked in every moment of promising forever to one another. Samantha’s brother was their officiant and helped guide them through a rope unifying ceremony.

A few moments after the “I-Do’s” the sky turned a deep-blue, the wind picked up and we were racing mother nature’s temperament ( Well, racing as fast as a golf cart would let us). We stopped at a spot on the course that grabbed my attention with the tall reeds and pathway for portraits of them together. Although Sam and Kyle were standing uncovered in complete rain, they were so happy and didn’t have a care in the world. Even the soaked hair and clothes added to their story and they were content.

Once we were back indoors it was time to get ready for the reception! It was a lively crowd for sure! Samantha’s parents gave a heartwarming toast and serenaded the couple with “Somewhere over the Rainbow” – one of Samantha’s favorite songs as a child. The day they waited and planned for finally came. It was everything they imagined and more, and they were now one until Death do them part.
